About Simon Paxton, Corporate Entertainer – Mentalist (Mind-Reader)

Being considered an event-planner’s godsend is what gets Simon Paxton out of bed every morning.

A competent and confident speaker and performer, Paxton is always funny but never crass. He’s passionate and driven to exceed expectations. His offerings are truly unique (an overused, usually-undeserved term; not in this case). And Paxton works out of his brief case, so it’s a breeze for corporate clients and associations to set up for his events.  Paxton goes out of his way to make sure clients are delighted. And he’ll be happy to customize performances and content to include clients’ company names, themes and aims.

Paxton has been busy as a corporate entertainer, trainer and speaker for the past 12 years—just not here in Australia until now. Paxton has been performing while studying in Japan (yes, he personally experienced the devastating tsunami and earthquake). Speaking in Japanese, he has thrilled and inspired audiences, lectured in universities, and spoken or performed before corporate audiences and at embassy parties.  He has a B.A. in Asian Studies and a M.A. in Japanese and Asian Studies, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and will soon complete his PhD in International Studies (majoring in Japanese).

Already an established “mentalist” in Japan, the engagement with audiences that mind-reading creates has completely captured Paxton’s passion. Asked why he should be the go-to mentalist/mind-reader in Australia, Simon says, “I am the “Mindpower Guy” My personalized, mind power demonstrations are unforgettable. Mind-reading is a completely engaging form of entertainment which is entirely appropriate for sophisticated, bright, inquisitive adult audiences. My events are fun, memorable, fascinating, inspiring, and respectful [also educational when appropriate].”

Paxton has worked for major hotels and companies all over Japan, including Harley Davidson and Cargill Japan. He has also performed for a lot of celebrities in Japan, appeared on national television, and hosted a Japanese-language TV show.
